Authorities corral live bull or cow running loose in Cooper City neighborhood – WPLG Local 10

COOPER CITY, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County were called into action Tuesday night to lock horns with a very bullish adversary.

Deputies responded to North Saratoga Drive in Cooper City where what appeared to be a loose bull was spotted running around a residential neighborhood. The animal could in fact be a cow, but animal experts have not yet confirmed what type of animal it was.

One deputy used a rope in an unsuccessful attempt to lasso the animal. It’s not known if that deputy has any previous calf roping experience.

Local 10 was at the scene and captured video of the animal running loose before heading into the gated Embassy Lakes neighborhood. The video can be seen below:

Deputies drove around using bullhorns, asking residents to remain in their homes.

Authorities confirmed Wednesday that after a slow, hours long pursuit, Sergeant Mark Warsaw, Deputy Gerald Wengert and a professional cowboy were successful in corralling the animal.

It is not known where the animal escaped from or who its owners are.

Anyone with information about the owner is asked to call BSO’s Cooper City district at 954-432-9000.
