MITCHELL, Neb. – (KNEP) – A number of producers will be in Mitchell this November for the biennial Range Beef Cow Symposium.

The event will take place November 18-20th at the Mitchell Event Center and will focus on raising cattle in the western states and is geared towards commercial beef producers.
The symposium rotates every two years between Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota and Colorado with Cheyenne hosting it in 2017.
It is not driven by industry funding nor is it a scientific meeting but will include beef specialists from University of Wyoming, South Dakota State, University of Nebraska and Colorado State.
The program will address genetic, nutrition and management, animal health topics and offer producers interactive and hands-on learning. It will also include a beef quality assurance animal handling course and a live cattle stockmanship demo.
Over 100 vendors will be at the event with nightly bullpen sessions that will allow for interaction and networking opportunities for producers.
